The volunteer of the year award is given to a volunteer who not only helps us work towards our vision and mission, but also contributes to our learner, volunteer, and staff community.
Jennie Sanford founded and has led our Tuesday Night Computer Group for two years. In this role she has helped learners apply for jobs online, helped them navigate ever changing platforms and content, and has increased their knowledge and skills in computer use. Whether it be helping to set up our classroom computers or helping at DLN events, Jennie’s contributions elevate our capacity to help our learners and she is a joy to work with.
We are very grateful for Jennie's contributions this year and we are excited to present her as our Volunteer of the Year for 2017. We look forward to her contributions and support for many years to come.
